About Oya

In Alicia McCalla’s fiction universe, Oya is the Orisha of storms and thresholds whose power and mythology connect to Tia Jackson, the superhero known as The Sentinel.

Oya represents transformation, courage, fierce protection, and the power to stand at the threshold of change.

For readers who have encountered Oya through Alicia McCalla’s stories (or anyone drawn to Black fantasy art, African mythology, warrior goddesses, and powerful women), this collectible print brings that storm energy from the storyworld to the wall.
